Our Commitment to Your Health

Today you really have a choice of what you eat and where you get it. You can even decide how you want it produced. Here, on the rolling plains of eastern New Mexico, we raise free-range beef, grass-fed, grass finished, no grain, no antibiotics, no hormone growth enhancers. The beef we produce is as good as nature can make it. We know exactly what goes into our cattle from the minute they are born. We are so confident in our beef that we not only eat what we produce we feed it to our families ~ ~ our children.

How can we be so confident? We spend time on the range, we identify and follow every animal from the time they’re born until they are harvested. We know what they eat and where they’ve been. We use no hormones and no antibiotics; just grass, the natural food of cattle. When you purchase beef in the supermarket you have no idea of its origin, what it has eaten or the state of its health at slaughter.

The bigger and perhaps more important part of the story of what we produce is the health benefit being attributed to grass-fed, grass finished beef, milk, eggs, and poultry. Health benefits of the foods we eat are more important now than ever before, therefore, we must take responsibility for what we eat and our health.

What can you expect from grass-fed and finished beef? Up to a 75% reduction in total fat content, a proper ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids, much higher levels of antioxidants, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, and beneficial levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). The potential benefits to human health include cancer fighting properties and possibly prevention of heart and brain disease. As the research into these findings continues we can be sure the clear message remains that natural grass-fed and fattened beef is good for us.
